Like any other activity in chess, you learn life lessons. In chess you learn that you must not let your mind over come your physical body and you can't freak out and not think just because you get backed into a corner. Chess also teaches you that some sacrafices are needed for the outcome for the end game. The end game is a way of connecting chess into life. Like if I said that you have friends, which are pawns, adn then you have, best friends, which turn then into rooks. Then you have distant family, which are bishops, close family, which are the knights, and then your mom and dad, whcih are oyur King and your Queen. And you control the outcome of all of them. That sounded a little more deep than I wanted it to be but it sounded good to me in my head.
